Why Participate in the AMC8?

Spark Interest in Mathematics

The AMC8 features engaging and challenging logical reasoning problems rather than tedious calculations. It allows students to experience the joy of problem-solving and realize that mathematics is not just about formulas and arithmetic, but a process of exploration and discovery.

Develop Logical Thinking

The competition emphasizes logical reasoning, spatial visualization, and problem-solving skills. These competencies are not only central to mathematics but also form a crucial foundation for future studies in STEM fields and even the social sciences.

A Key Advantage for Middle School Admissions

For top-tier middle schools in China, such as Shanghai’s “Three Publics” and Beijing’s “Six Strong,” an AMC8 award has become a core criterion for selecting outstanding students. For students pursuing an international education path, achieving a top 1% or top 5% global ranking is a significant advantage for early applications to top 30 U.S. universities.

Admissions Benchmark for International Schools

With a long history and high international recognition, the AMC series is highly regarded. Notably, around 20% of the math questions in entrance exams for some prestigious international schools are derived from AMC competitions. A strong AMC8 performance will significantly enhance a student’s competitiveness in future school applications.

How to Register for the AMC8?

There are three primary registration methods for the AMC8, with a registration fee — please contact us for the current amount.

1. School Unified Registration

Students at designated testing centers can register through their teachers, who will collect information and handle payments. Exams are taken on campus, making this the most convenient and secure option.

2. Official Mini-Program Registration

Search for the “ASDAN International Academic Challenge” mini-program on WeChat, register an account, fill in student details, upload an ID photo, select the appropriate season, and complete the payment. (Note: Official website registration also requires the student’s school to be an authorized testing center.)

3. Registration via Authorized Agencies

Students from non-partner schools can entrust authorized agencies to handle registration. By submitting required documents such as ID and grade verification, the agency will assist in securing a testing spot.
